ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS!

Ruby Bridges is developing a new book entitled Through Their Eyes, meaning a look at racism through the eyes of students.

If you are a student (or are the teacher of students and would like to introduce them to this project) and would like to participate, please write Ruby Bridges with thoughts on Racism and
race relations in our country today.  If you’ve been touched by Ruby’s book, Through My Eyes or have had the opportunity to hear Ruby speak at your school, what were you views before and what are your views now? We’d love to hear your thoughts on these subjects - through your eyes!

     Please send letters to:
      Ruby Bridges
      P.O. Box 870248
      New Orleans, LA 70187

Who knows? Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to have your letter published in this new book!

Inside you will find a vast amount of information about Ruby
      Bridges' life and living legacy.

"Our Ruby taught us all a lot. She became someone
who helped change our country. She was part of history,
just like generals and presidents are part of history.
They're leaders, and so was Ruby. She led us away from
hate, and she led us nearer to knowing each other,
the white folks and the black folks."

~ Ruby's Mother

November 14th marked the 42nd anniversary of Ruby's historical walk
